To save energy when using balers, it is possible to equip the BOA Impress® balers with an EcoLine® drive concept. The hydraulic pumps are controlled by an ASCL frequency converter. The power is only switched on when certain functions are requested. In “Wait” or “Standby” mode, the energy consumption of the pump drives is kept to a minimum. For example, the counter pressure is not permanently built up with pressure, but only when pressing the material.
Energy is mainly saved in the case of widely varying loads and partial loads. At the same time, the EcoLine® version has a built-in soft start and soft stop which can also significantly reduce power consumption. These benefits can lead to energy savings of 50% up to 80%. This of course depends on the use of the baler.
