The slowly rotating rotor transports the bag material to an adjustable, robust counter comb. The distance between the comb and the rotor is easily adjustable. One machine can handle a wide variety of material types: large bags, small bags, bale material or fine material.
The rotor of the bag opener is directly driven by a planetary drive. To prevent overloading and impacts on the machine, the planetary drive is driven by V-belts. Speed and capacity can be easily adjusted via a frequency control can be set. As soon as an overload is detected, the bag feed is stopped and the rotor turns in the opposite direction for a moment. The machine features an adjustable cleaning mechanism to prevent material from wrapping around the rotor.
